November Rain
Toronto ·Man, I really do not like November. And yet here we are.
Cue Slash …
November …
- starts with the clocks “falling back” so that it’s dark at 4pm
- is wet and cold, but lacking snow cover to add any brightness
- has the days get progressively darker and gloomier
- has a bunch of dudes attempting to grow ’staches.
- has no holidays*
*I’m Canadian, so our Thanksgiving is in October. That makes sense so that we might get a walk outside and see the sun. But I do envy the Americans having a four-day break in November, just when one is reaching the breaking point.
The only notable day in November is Remembrance Day, but let’s be honest; it’s a pretty sombre day. And we don’t even get the time off!
