Only 70 Percent

A leader at work whom I really respect recently posted in one of the Slack channels that they left 2020 at 0%. And that the two week break was only enough to get them back to about 70%, instead of what should have been 100%.

Man did that resonate with me.

Octopus Painting

My wife loves cephalopods. I’m not sure where it comes from, but we have octopus art throughout our house. I like it too. Something so alien about them.

I decided to paint a picture for her birthday, and went looking for some inspiration.

I lived in Chicago from 1994 to 2001. I was there for grad school, and one of the jokes about grad school is that you don’t get to be too involved in the social fabric because you’re working too many hours.
